camouflages

Dusty Camouflage

Picture
Dusty Camouflage is a type of weapon camouflage in Call of Duty: Black Ops. It costs 250 and appears like a "worn off" tan finish. It resembles the default camouflage of the SCAR-H from Modern Warfare 2. It looks like a darker, more worn version of the Golden Camouflage. It is generally not the dark brown that the camouflage image shows. It is still less often used, possibly due to the fact that it is almost unnoticeable on some guns like the Enfield.

Ice Camouflage

Picture
Ice Camouflage gives the equipped weapon white outlook and it looks more snowy than blueish ice. This is good to use on the maps with snow, such as Summit and Array. On maps like WMD and Grid the camouflage is still somewhat useful, but because these maps have less snow and more ground showing than other snowy maps it will not be as effective.

Red Camouflage

Picture
Red Camouflage is a weapon camouflage featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops which costs 250. Unlike other camouflages, the Red Camouflage makes the gun look very scratched and worn, as there are several bits of the camouflage where the paint has been scratched or worn off. Since the paint job looks very crude, it is possible that the Red camouflage is simply just Red spray-paint applied to the weapon. This is in contrast to the attachments added to the weapon, which are wholly painted a solid, darker red, which do not reflect light in the same way as the weapon. This also occurs with the other flat camouflages, although not as visibly. It is one of the more common camouflages seen online. Like the red tiger camo, it doesn`t support any type of climate or terrain, in other words it has no real camouflage benefit, other than for decoration purposes. Red camouflage is simply a flat, red finish.

Olive Camouflage

Picture
Olive Camouflage gives the weapon a flat, olive finish. If applied to weapons such as the AUG or Enfield for example it has very little difference in apperance as they have default olive colour schemes. In certain lights, the Olive Camouflage can look like the gold camouflage. The camouflage is uncommonly seen at times in Combat Training when the player is playing with a friendly faction. Also, if applied to weapons with wood stocks such as the AK-47 or M14, it appears as if the woods stocks have been replaced with synthetic furniture.

Nevada Camouflage

Picture
Nevada Camouflage is a type of weapon camouflage in Call of Duty: Black Ops. Nevada costs 250 and gives a desert-style finish.

Sahara Camouflage

Sahara Camouflage is a Weapon Camouflage featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops. Sahara costs 250 and appears to be based on the Desert pattern. The camouflage is named after the large desert situated in northern Africa.

ERDL Camouflage

Picture
ERDL Camouflage is a Weapon Camouflage featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops, available for 250. It is similar to the Woodland camouflage found in Modern Warfare 2, and is considered by many players to be the basic "camouflage". On many guns, especially light machine guns, it will only cover a small portion. It blends in best with SOG and NVA character models. It is only obtainable in one campaign mission, "Rebirth" on Hudson's Enfield and HK21.

Tiger Camouflage

Picture
Tiger is a Weapon Camouflage featured in Call of Duty Black Ops. It costs 250. Tiger is often seen as a show-off camouflage, because it does not camouflage on any map and it is found most appealing. Its popularity might come from the Red and Blue Tiger camouflages being featured in Call of Duty 4 and Modern Warfare 2, as they are unlocked after getting a relatively large number of headshots, meaning obtaining them is difficult. In appearance, some weapons have parts of them colored pitch black (the handguard and stock for example) while the receiver, barrel, and magazine are camouflaged.

Berlin Camouflage

Picture
Berlin Camouflage is a weapon camouflage resembling theGerman Flecktarn featured in Call of Duty Black Ops. It costs 250. It is similar to the Urban camouflage from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, but shows hints of green instead of the grayish pattern in the Urban Camouflage, although the red is the same. Parts of the weapon (such as the stock and grip) are also colored a light, wooden brown, giving the camouflaged gun a grittier feel. It blends in best with Urban Black Ops and Op 40 character models. If it is applied to the AK47FN FALGalilRPK, and a AK74u, it would give it a blend of different camouflages yet, retains the wooden colored finish it would have without it.

Warsaw Camouflage

Picture
It was first seen in the reveal trailer in the Jungle map reveal on theMPL. It is named after Poland's capital city. It's color scheme consists of a teal or viridian color along with silver and grey and appears to have been based upon the German Splinter pattern.

SiBeria Camouflage

Picture
Siberia Camouflage is a Weapon Camouflage featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops. It seems to be a mix between a blue and arctic patterns. The camouflage is best used with Arctic Spetsnazmodels as it nearly matches their blue uniforms in multiplayer, thus making it harder for the opposing team to spot their weapon at times. Siberia Camouflage seems to be the closest thing toBlue Tiger Camouflage, which does not return in Black Ops. The Siberia Camouflage can be seen on the Crossbow in WMD.

Yukon Camouflage

Picture
Yukon is a camouflage first seen in Call of Duty: Black Ops. It is seen to give arctic-like finish alike Arctic Camouflage from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The camouflage is best used with Arctic Black Ops models as it nearly matches their white uniforms in multiplayer, thus making it harder for the enemy team to spot what weapons the player is carrying. The camouflage is named after one of the northern Canadian territories, called Yukon. It can be purchased for 250 under Camouflage for primary weapons.

Woodland Camouflage

Picture
Woodland Camouflage was first seen on the Commando in the multiplayer teaser trailer. This version differs than others in the series, the receiver of the weapon is camouflaged and the stock, barrel and handguard are just painted green. It also resembles the US M81 Woodland used by the US Military.

Flora Camouflage

Picture
Flora is a camouflage that is used by the Russian Military and is one of the most commonly seen and issued camouflage patterns in campaign. The Flora Camouflage has a pattern similar to theWoodland Camouflage but with a darker color. This camouflage is best used with Urban Spetsnaz multiplayer models as it nearly matches and thus makes it slightly difficult for the opposing team to identify their weapons at times, thus giving a slightly better concealing effect. It is best to use in woodland maps such as Jungle. This camouflage can be seen in the single player mission "Executive Order", although the firefight in which one can obtain a weapon with this camouflage is in a Soviet Launch facility and serves no purpose of blending in with its surroundings.

Golden Camouflage

Picture
Gold Camouflage is available in Call of Duty: Black Ops, and is available after the player has Prestiged 14 times. It costs 50,000. With Gold Camouflage, most metallic components of the gun are covered in gold plating, while wooden and plastic furniture is replaced with black, synthetic materials. This has the possible effect of obscuring emblems on certain guns. Golden camouflage is available for every primary weapon, and can also affect certain attachments as well, as in the Customization Trailer, the MAC11's reflex sight is also gold. In addition to these, shotgun shells will also appear golden.

To use Gold Camouflage for any weapon, the player must be at least 14th Prestige and be willing to pay 50,000 per Gold Camouflage. However, while it is not obtainable in Combat Training, it is automatically unlocked in Split Screen. The player can set the class loadouts in custom Private Matches to have golden camouflage on their primary weapons. There is also a glitch to make a golden Crossbow, but the primary assault rifle must be gold first to do this glitch.
